Service Description
Like acupuncture, shiatsu is based on the philosophy that disease is caused by interrupted energy flow at key points and that stuck or stagnated energy is the root of all diseases. Rather than using needles to unblock energies however, shiatsu uses thumbs, fingers and palm pressure to stimulate key healing points. Shiatsu means “finger massage.” Shiatsu is a natural therapy that relieves tension and harmonizes bodily functions. It also calms an overactive sympathetic nervous system, relieves stiff muscles and alleviates stress.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policy: We kindly ask for at least a 24 hour notice should you need to cancel your appointment. Remember, our time is valuable and other clients may be waiting for your spot. Our policy is to charge you the full fee for “no shows” and cancellations of less than 24 hours. Fees and payment options: Fees and payment options differ at each location. Please inquire when booking your appointment. Harmonized Sales Tax (HST): Please note that all Registered Massage Therapists in Ontario are now required to collect HST. Insurance coverage: You are responsible for paying the service fees, but we will issue you a receipt that for reimbursement by your extended health provider.
